The Hippo pathway plays key roles in cell proliferation and cell death, self-renewal and differentiation, organ size control and regeneration. Furthermore, its deregulation leads to cancer and other diseases. In recent years, it has attracted broad attention in the fields of cell biology, developmental biology, and cancer biology. Chinese scientists have made critical contributions to the establishment of the Hippo pathway, and continuously impact the field by frontier discoveries. In this session we will discuss research systems and recent progresses about regulations and functions of the Hippo pathway.
